We start with learning about you: your goals, interests, background, skills and concerns. Next, we’ll talk about finding programs whose styles and values are aligned with yours, and how those programs can help you achieve your learning goals. Then we’ll move on to communicating those goals through an authentic, compelling narrative. We’ll wrap up with final edits and ensuring that all application components - not just the essay - are ready to submit.

Scholarships

Paying for school can be one of the biggest obstacles to pursuing a degree. Goldfinch Scholars can help you make sense of your financial aid options and seek out additional funding.

Just as with admissions, it’s critical to find scholarships that are a good fit for who you are as a person, student and leader. We’ll support your identification of learning goals and crafting an essay that highlights not only how you’ll benefit, but how you’ll contribute.

Essay Help

Maybe you’ve already identified your dream schools and completed most of the application. Goldfinch Scholars can help with the final edits to make your essay shine. We can also support development of your résumé or C.V.

Interview Prep

The final step for many application processes is an interview. Interviews can be either in-person or virtual, for just 20 minutes or over multiple days. In any situation, Goldfinch Scholars can provide the practice you need to confidently answer even the most unexpected question with poise and clarity.

Conversational English Practice

Whether you’re starting the application process or have already accepted admission, practicing conversational English helps prepare future students to study at a U.S. school for the first time. This is even true for people who have already passed the TOEFL. Conversational English practice improves communication with professors, other students, university staff, and people met during everyday life (e.g. store clerks, restaurant staff, bus/car drivers, etc.). Goldfinch Scholars can help you feel more confident in your conversational English by discussing topics of your choice, including email or other communications from your school.
